Mount Fuji
Taken 6 weeks but clear tonight to see Mount Fuji for the first time. Amaxing as was the night out with some of the drivers.

It’s a Gold medal for Japan
The stars of the show were undoubtedly the Japanese people and the city of Tokyo. Kind, friendly and welcoming the last word goes to them and a video (turn up the volume) of the beautiful ‘2 min’ drive from the International Broadcasting Centre to the Olympic Stadium, including the Rainbow Bridge, downtown Tokyo and the Prada building see you on the other side. Sayonara

Laura Muir
Couldn’t be happier for Laura as she ran a brilliant race with a new national record. The stadium was buzzing. Watched Andy Butchart in the 5,000m seen him run through the streets of Stirling in the winter months this is the reward.

The Crew
The No1 Top Team camera, sound, edit and presenting. Been fortunate to have Carey and Sumiko in Pyongchang 2018 and Brett, Willie, Erik and Gus in Tokyo 2020. Kind, generous, friendly and welcoming it’s been a pleasure the past 3 weeks happy memories. Safe home. Thanks to Shaun White multiple Olympic Gold medalist for taking the photo!

Then there is more
Just when you have seen everything Tokyo gives you more bigger skyscrapers, enormous train stations, parks and palaces. Back in the Olympic Stadium O Canada blasting out and a National holiday for the 200m gold medalist …. could it be Laura Muir tomorrow plan to be there.

Thank You
It has been a pleasure driving Gus Kenworthy and camera crew around Tokyo the past 3 weeks. Today Gus was joined by Adam Rippon ice skater and winner of the US Dancing with the Stars, today it was just the three of us we had a great time driving, chatting and listening to music. Gus is the most delightful individual appreciative, polite and kind. He has switched to represent the UK at the Beijing Winter Olympics, he was born in London, in the freeboarding/ half pipe ….. Go Gu

The heat is relentless
It was 35c again today that you can take but the humidity means your clothes are soaked within hours. Don’t know if l could live with this constant weather. This is a photo of a worker who has a fan assisted cooling jacket. There is REAL money in Tokyo designer shops in every district. Ferrari, Bentley, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce don’t even turn heads. I still cannot get over the vastness of buildings, parks, streets, shopping malls all built on a huge scale. Japan has a third

Favourite Photo
The Japanese tour guide took us through Shibuya at twilight on one of our shoots love the photo (looks like a print it was a photo taken last night) and love the Prada building photo out by the Olympic Stadiium.
